Overview

Prototype of a turn-based RPG that would focus on semi-open world exploration and resource management.

A Letter From Me

This is a prototype I completed several months ago now. There is no audio. There is only one enemy type you can find out in the world but there's another you can find in one of the houses. You can find some important game systems-related info on the little signs I have scattered around.

If you find the two alternate weapons and clear the two houses, you have basically seen everything. I have only seen this version of the game crash once and I couldn't reproduce it, so I will call it 99% stable.

I like the bones of this and may repurpose a lot of it in the future, but I have no concrete plans to do that now. I figured though that I put enough work into this that its worth throwing it out into the world to see if anyone connected with it.

"Story"

October, 197X. Your car breaks down along an Appalachian highway miles from anything you can recognize. Looking for help and a payphone, you follow signs off the road to a town you've never heard of, but are attacked by creatures like nothing you have ever seen before. Soon, you find yourself lost in unfamiliar woods and are swallowed by the story of a dying company town, its missing preacher, and a god with no name. Scavenge for supplies, find survivors, don't travel after sundown.
